hi guys, i replaced my 7200 with a gf4 ti 4400 (yay). unfortunately, i am getting inferior benchmark scores (boo). I have heard that this card should yield a score in the 8000-9000 range. I installed the latest 28.32 driver from nvidia.com and the only program running in the tray is NAV autoprotect. how can I improve my benchmark scores? I would hate to think i wasted my moolah. any help is appreciated!

You have a P4 1.3GHz so I wouldn't expect a score too high. You basically have the performance of an 866MHz P3.

Try loading the Intel chipset drivers. They are the correct drivers for your motherboard. Get them <A HREF="http://www.intel.com/design/software/drivers/platform/inf.htm" target="_new">here</A>.

The top score at Madonion for your configuration, Ti4400/P4 1.3, is only 7827 but that would be for an overclocked video card. I would imagine with the video card at stock speeds a typical score would be about 6500.

got my benchmark up to 7000+ after installing everything from the asus CD. next step, new mobo/cpu. Oh, and LED? I had 2 64M rdram and since you have to add RAM in pairs in Dell machines, i added 2 128 stix. yeah i know its dumb.

everyone else thanks for the advice and help
