I have a PIII 733 and was OC'ng the ATI Radeon 32MB DDR vid card lastnight. I got it upto 180 core speed, what is the highest OC for it to handle without burning up? *curious*
This is a temp vid card until I can get the Ti4400.

I'm pretty sure chips have different temps at which they burn up. Some chips like the AXP have a official temp of 90 degrees (I think??) or so stated by AMD before it can cause permanent damage.

My firewall tastes like burning.

If you increase your frequencies little by little (ie don't jump from 180 to 250, but rather go up 3-5 each time)then your card will freeze but will not burn up. You will just have to reset your system and use a lower frequency.
Moreover, you will probably have already encountered artifacts signaling your are closing to your card's RAM limits.

I would say that around 190 is the limit for stable operation, with around 200 maximum just to run 3dmark.
That is for the 32M DDR Radeon that came with stock frequencies of 166/166.
