Any decent PCI cards?

Hey folks,

I'm in the market for a decent PCI video card. I recently got a dual P3-650 with no AGP slots (bummer). Am I out of luck for a PCI video card?

I'm not looking for killer graphics, just something that'll play newish 3D games a resoneable frame-rate.

I'm not sure you can get a PCI card that'll run new games. For exmaple, a game like JKII needs a pretty fast proc, and at 640x480x16, a PCI video card won't really cut it. The best solution would be to get a new mobo with an AGP and get a AGP video card. Also tell me what games you'd like to play.

their are PCI versions of the GeForce 2 and GeForce 4 MX, they arn't the best cards in the world but they will run games like JK2 and Medal of Honor:AA. Just don't expect to run at hightest resolution on every game, remember, their still MX's

The fastest videocard for pci is the radeon. Due to the better memory bandwidth useage. But it is still a slow card in todays standards.

You really can't do much better than the 4 year old TNT2 card with a PCI slot, do to PCI bandwidth limitations.

What's the frequency, Kenneth?
