Question:
I have a Hub and a Router. I have 3 computers. I had them on dsl with a hub and static ip's. This week i went to cable to triple my speed, but now have a dynamic ip. I want to set all 3 up on this cable connection before i can cancel my dsl.

Do i use a router or a hub?

Router, and typically your IP is static until you turn your modem off and back on.

The router will allow all your computers to access the internet through one IP address. However, if your router does not have 3 ports, then you may have to use it in conjunction with a hub, splitting the connection to your 3 computers.
