I have just run 3Dmark 2001se on my P.C and got a score of 6295. The Spac for my machine are as follows: Athlon XP1700, 512Mb DDR, Gainward GF3 Ti200, Epox 8KHA+ mobo, 80Gb Maxtor HDD, WIN2Kpro-SP2.

I haven't changed any settings in the bios and I am running the 28.32 Det's.

Is this score about average or absolute crap.

Thanks

I think it is a averge score.

I get around 1600 points with my XP1600 & Geforce2Mx.
But I think positive : 1600 points is better than 1500 points.

Well, I think it is pretty good. You get about double what I get with the same video card on a P3 850

That is a nice Garbage Can you have there!

You sure that's right? I get what around 2000 with my PIII600E. Do you have the latest drivers? Here's my compare site:

No, they are not. Where do you guys come up with this stuff? Geforce 3's and 4's benefit from the optimizations in the 27.5+ drivers, preferably use the newly released version 29.42 drivers. Only go to 23.11 or previous if your running GF2 or previous.

Yep I´m sure...I had a topic about it a couple of months ago or so.
I´ve tried different drivers and that sort of things without any performance boost, well maybe a few lousy points but I don´t count that as I´m not picky.

We all agreed on that the Geforce2Mx200 is a crappy card and that I should buy a new one!

Hi Everyone,
As we are discussing 3D Mark scores, I have just run 3DMark 2001SE, on my PC, Spec : Athlon XP1900+, 256 DDR, GeForce 2 MX and got a score of 3015.

Is 3015 good for this spec of machine.

Just for reference, using 3DMarks 2001 SE I'm getting 9700. I'm not
over clocking the Abit Ti4400. So this should give you a reference
of what you would get if you upgraded your video card to a Ti4400.

Abit KX7-333R, Abit Siluro Ti4400, XP1800+, 512MB Crucial DDR2100, WD 120 GB HD, Santa Cruz.

That's a good score for a GF2MX card. I have a GF2MX and score 2550 points. The difference must be from the XP1900 and DDR ram. You should consider upgrading that video card if you have the $$$. Your score should improve substantially.

Hi guys,
I ran 3d mark se on my PIII 933Mhz, 256 sdram, Leadtek's Gefoce4 Ti4200 64MB on winxp, here's the result and let me know if the system is doing fine. Thx.
w/o overclock (250/500): 5600
o/c 300/560: 5900
I'm very sure it can hit about 10000 if I upgrade my cpu to a p4

Hi,

I dont know a great deal about scores for 3D mark. But from what I have read, I would say that your graphics card is a bottle neck and you should get a much better score if you could change the card. What O/S are you using?

I may be wrong and I apologise if I am.

What's the resolution you guys were talking about, 1024x768x32? Then what is the texture format (16bit, 32bit, compress or DXT1)?

Hi.

Thinking that maybe some are more budget limited and in order to complete the picture, upgrading to a GF3 will give something like 6800. This is my configuration:

Tbird 1.2 @ 1.2 :)
Gainward Geforce3 (200/458)
512 DDR 2100 at CAS 2
Epox 8KHA+
Detonator 28.32

So, I think that maybe you (generally speaking) can have enough with a GF3. I know what is to have a GF2 MX200, I have the same before. Because my pockets are almost empty, I manage to buy a GF3 for a good price. The jump is great.
