ok i have an ati all-in-wonder 128 16m 2x agp

i looked at my bio recently and found that the apg setting was at 4x and the agp apature size was 32 MB. Would this cause problems with anything if i was having trouble with a game crashing?

well for one, i would increase the apeture size to at least 128 mb.. that should help a lot.

Time is the best teacher... unfortunatly, it kills all of its students.

If your games are crashing I would first download the newest drivers for your mainboard. Via of course has the famed 4 in 1's, and Intel has a very neat executable program that looks at your drivers and automatically updates them all (and I do mean updates EVERYTHING-you can imagine I was just giddy when I saw everything on my intel mb getting a new driver).

I have a 128 chip of my own (with 16MB memory) and I can run 64MB aperture size well, anything higher I can't tell you about since I have no experience with that. I would reduce your BIOS setting to AGP 2x. It might be the reason for games crashing. Your card was not designed to work at 4x, only 2x.
