I am in the process of upgrading from my ATI Radeon 64DDR VIVO. I'm looking for a card that has good video editing features (firewire) but will also kick ass in gaming (i.e. Star Wars Galaxies). I've been looking at the Geforce4 4600 but don't think they meet my video editing needs. Which card should I consider? I would like to keep the price under $300.

The only card that acutally includes FireWire is the R8500DV. The video card won't give you great performance, but it's ok...

Or what you could do is get a normal video card and then buy a separate PCI card, for firewire or USB2.0. That way you'll get better graphics and FireWire for I'd say about the same price. You'll just be losing out on the TV-Tuner.

What's the deal with lampshades, I mean it's a lamp, why would you want a shade?

For only $300 his options me thinks would be ti 4400 + a really cheap dv card (don't know any) or the r8500 dv. Or see if ATI updates the dv series of cards in mid-july. Ti 4600 currently is kinda expensive.
