She's right. There is no way, absolutely none, to transfer a closed
character from one realm to another. Not sure what level your character
is, but rebuilding shouldn't be a huge problem. Then again, I play HC
mode, so remaking characters has always been a frequent thing.

That's the spirit! I noticed that whenever I lost a HC character, the
"next version" of that same character was a little bit more efficient,
since the gaming experiences and observations from the previous attempts
helped me to choose a better route. If nothing else, it definitely does
benefit your skill as a D2 player.
