I got a new laptop and want to install Diablo2 on this. I already have
it on my regular computer.
Please refresh my memory because it's been a couple years since I
installed it. Do I need to install all three CD's on my laptop that's in
the CD box and then the Expansion Set CD? Or can I just install the
Expansion Set CD?
I play off line only and have WinXP home
Thanks

You install the 3 cd's first, and when you are done you install the
expansion pack. Afterwards if you like, you can go online to patch to the
latest version or download the patch from the web and upgrade off-line.

LoD requires the original game, so yes, you have to install the original
game first, then the LoD expansion.

If you need to email, then chainbreaker (naturally) at comcast dot
net--that's "net" not "com"--should do it.

You have to install Classic first and the expansion thereafter. But if
you have mislaid any components (CDs, keys) you can copy your existing
D2 directory from your regular computer via local network to your
laptop.

Normally the cd keys are either on a sticker on the cd...or or on the cd
case. You're looking for 4 sets of 4 alpha-numerics. Should be one string
issued with the classic...and another issued for the expansion.
