I am looking at starting my own pc building business hopefully sometime this year. Does anybody have tips or experiences on how to make this smooth and efficient? The only thing I am worried about is advertising, that is the field in which I have no idea what is the best thing to do.
If I can get this thing off the ground and get a few sales at least, just to know that it is possible. I have a cousin of mine who is brilliant at web page design and the like. He created a site which won the Axiom Award, I think only 7 or 17 sites in the world got that award, It may have been Copper Axiom, I forget the exact award. But he could definitely create an awesome website for me, which is what tons of potential customers make purchase decisions based on.
I am looking into first dabbling into consumer level/somewhat power user pc's. I think I might try to start selling them on Ebay. Then once I can get enough funds, go into the Enthusiast market in which I have many good ideas for.
That is my basic plan so far. I'm sure there are owners of computer shops or people with experience here, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
If anyone would like to help, you can use AIM to contact me right away.
