I am currently in the market for a notebook for college. I've read all the reviews and combed through the internet to find the perfect laptop. So far i've come up with the IBM x31 and X40. Here are some of the specs.
X31
Pentium M 1.6
1 GB RAM (2x512 modules)
ATI 7500 16MB <--- only dissapointment
A/B/G wireless + Bluetooth + GB ethernet
X40
Pentium M LV 1.2
1GB RAM
GB ethernet + B/G wireless + Bluetooth
integrated graphics
Do you guys have any ideas for a better computer to buy?
The main things im looking for are
1. small size (for toting everywhere)
2. durability (metal preferred)
2. good performance (not for games)
3. good battery life (4+ hours)
4. wireless (B/G) and Bluetooth
5. connectivity (so I can hook it up to an external monitor, keyboard, etc. in my dorm room)
Also, will the X40 be able to keep up with me in terms of performance?
I know its asking for alot but if you guys have any advice please help me.
Thank you.
