Ok well There is only one site that I know of that made a review about asus v8420 deluxe ( geforce 4 Ti4200 ) and across many message boards I hear people saying that Geforce 4 Ti4200 64 megs chip is better then the Geforce 4 Ti4200 128 megs because of the faster ram. Now if I'm think correctly The Geforce 4 Ti4200 64 meg card have 3.3ns ram on it, and at this one site they say that the asus v8420 deluxe have 3.3ns ram on it, is that because the company wanted the 3.3 ns ram on the card? or is that because alot of people don't know what is going on?

P.S. don't flame me because what I'm asking is a good question and my post isn't meant to be a flame

P.S.S here is the link to the site were I fount out about the 3.3 ns on a Geforce 4 Ti 4200 128 meg http://www.amd3d.com/review/v8420/photo.htm

I would probably take their word on it. Actually most benchmarks show that the 128MB at 3.6ns is faster than 64MB at 3.3ns. So if you have a 128MB card at 3.3ns that's just extra icing on the cake!

This little cathode light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine!

Actually only in a few games (JKII?) the 128MB shines. The real problem is that the 128MB version is clocked lower. Usually the 64MB Ti4200 have 4ns RAM, and the Gainward ones have 3.5ns RAM. I've not yet seen one (although the S/U/M/A cards I think might) with 3.3ns RAM. Also the 128MB versions usually come with 4ns RAM, or in the case of the S/U/M/A cards, they have 3.6ns RAM or somthing along those lines.

Yeah, did you notice that the card is a full size one like the Ti4400 and Ti4600. What it seems to me is that ASUS just took their PCB from their Ti4400 and put some extra features into it (and the 3.3ns RAM). Also, the card didn't really overclock that well. The Ti4400 version usually gets to 310/680 core/mem and that card didn't really get close. So take a look at the 2 prices and see which one's more worth the money.
