How do you fix the refresh rate of your monitor. Im not talking about the desktops refresh rate, im talking about during games. There use to be a refresh rate fix but that doesnt work for the new nvidia drivers. Anyone know of some reg hack or soemthing to get the refresh rates up for games and other fullscreen applications?

The NVRefreshTool available in the Videocard Drivers\NVIDIA Detonator drivers section at this website works just fine with the unaltered 28.32 reference drivers. I've installed the tool several times with excellent results. Refer to your monitor specifications before using the tool, and be sure that the monitor is not identified as Plug-n-Play. If this is the case, download and install the monitor driver first, so the list of modes that the monitor can support is correct.

After altering the refresh rates for the resolutions at both the 16-bit and 32-bit color depths, go to Start\Run, and type DXDIAG.EXE, and hit enter. Under the More Help tab, choose the Override button, and manually type in the refresh rate for the resolution you normally use for playing games. For example, my normal resolution for game play is 1024x768x32@100Hz, so I have chosen 100 for the refresh rate override.

The combination of the two should completely fix the problem, even with OpenGL-based games.
