I've been playing Diablo 2 for many years. I just recently got two new
computers that constantly tell me that the realms are either down or I'm not
able to connect, which leads me to believe that I have a hidden system
problem. If that's the case - is there a setting that I've missed? I have XP
on a 2004 computer with 258 , a 4.93 gig processor and 512 of memory.

Is Blizzard having a problem? Do I need to change something in or to the
computer?? Sometimes I get on - other times I don't. It's driving me nuts.

Any help?

This is plenty... like a shotgun is plenty for mouse-hunting.

I run 4 machines at the same time, no problems with USEast Realm.

All 4 plug into a router which then plugs into the DSL modem.

The installations on the 4 machines are identical to single-play or
1-connection-to-battle.net setups, there are *no* tweaks anywhere for
this.

I can (and briefly have) configured my router so that I only had one
connection working at a time. Cured that so long ago I forgot the
details, but if nothing else shows up on your end to cure the problem
lets explore router details.

If they are new and running xp then Ill bet they have the firewalls turned
on that sounds like it could be the problem

One reason might be that you log on twice with the same account at the
same time. First get one char of the account into a game, then sign on
with the other computer onto that account.
If 2 chars of one account are in the waiting hall or in the chat
channel, u are about to get a realm down / disconnect / other
unpleasant things.

As a matter of facts i assume that can logon with one computer without
a problem. If that is not the case you have another problem. In
addition, i assume that you have 2 different CD keys

And, Blizzard is having a problem, but that is a complete different
issue.

Try going out on the net and downloading the 1.10 patch and applying it
before attempting to connect to battlenet. Worked for me...
