The manufacturer's drivers should perform the same as the same version reference drivers, but may enable extra support for features that manufacturer added themselves.

In my case, Hercules stopped producing their own versions of the drivers after 21.81 so I have to get reference to get a newer version.

As a general rule of thumb, the generic detonators outperform their counterparts, a few rare times the manufacturer drivers are needed for stability, but in general...dets man.

Keep an eye out for the 30.30 detonators. They are nVidia's latest beta drivers, focusing on image quality now rather than speed, I believe. nVidia is trying to get an early jump onto the image quality bandwagon started partly by Matrox. Perhaps it always wants to let people still know it's still in the game especially after the R9700 has shaken up the community (in a good way).

This little cathode light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine!
