Ok - heres the prob. I have a number pranking my house and it's starting to do my bros head in - (He's at home, I'm at work) So I know of some software called UkInfo. Tells you details of all addresses in the uk. If someone has it please let me know and I'll pm you the number I want you to find for me.
Or shall I post it here and we'll all prank it back.

Ok I've tried ringing the number and all I get is the other person has hung up. This is everytime - the number doesn't ring at all.
Could this be a computer that has been set up to constantly prank a landline. Is this possible. Please let me know if you have number tracing facilities and I'll let you know the details.

the software your after is called UKinfoDisk, it's a complex directory enquiry program written by BT.
Yes i do have it, and if your really desparate, you can download the sample version from the web (operates like the full one, but only lets you have 20 attempts).
but if you want the full one i have it on CD..
I used to use it at NLTG for call lists. So I know all about it. I can use that program inside out. All I want is one fone number tracking - can you do this now or not?

The number was ringing us every 2 minutes for three hours constant. I've accidently rung faxes before and all I get is a horrible squeal so its not a fax number. Its not a premium rate number cos it has a normal area code. I've tried ringing it from my mobile and my house and my work. Some time the hung up msg comes on halfway through so all you get is - dial number, silence, then "..rson has hung up". Wierd.
BTW I'm not on a BT line - we are with Cable and Wireless.

Strange - faxes these days are somethines more clever, but anyway. I think BT are still obliged to investigate, since you are requesting an investigation of the dest. number, and you have no way to know if it is BT or not.

Hmm you got me wondering - I know about bashing mobiles Ie fone clones. I didn't know it could be done with a landline. And why would someone with a number south of london be cloning or freaking some one north of machester.
