I am trying to upgrade my Mobo and CPU and Memmory on my system with out formating can someone confirm or tell me if the directory in the registry that i need to delete is this one HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/ENUM i want to delete all my devises so that when i install the new components win XP will reinstall all my parts, basically its a new install of components without reinstalling XP or formating my harddrive. thanks to anyone that knows

Dont know about the reg edit thing but pretty much everyone else around here will tell you your best is to do a clean install.
Youll have less problems plus you wont have any unnecessary drivers, spyware, and such on the drive that will effect performance.

If you are going to replace the mobo, then you must dump off the drivers so windows can bootup with the standard drivers. However I still just reinstall windows for its a good excuse to do so.
