Hi,

i have a serious problem with my computer. He is relly slow. I have an XP 2100+, with 768 memory, a Radeon 9500 pro, two HD in a RAID STRIPE.

Ok, here is what is wrong. First off, i have to say that all those test were done after a fresh install of Window XP pro. All the windows update are done, and i have the latest driver of everything ;)

Here is what i have notice that make me think there is a hardware problem:

1- I compile a probram twice as slow as my friend's computer. ( wich is 3 years old ).
2- I barely can't play any actual game. Even with low setting. The games we have tested, actually run better with my friend's computer, wich is even not a XP, with the NVIDIA MX, the crappy one.
3- I'v coded myself some benchmark with DirectX 9, and my video card seems ok. Since i can get very high FPS. It drops low FPS when i am making the CPU do some work. And by the way, the compile problem can't be related to my video card eheh.

That's it. I'v tried Sandra's 2003 benchmark, and all the comparison seems fine. I just can't find what the problem is. Memory? CPU? MotherBoard?

I'v tried removing one memory stick. I tried to run them individually... No such luck.

I was about to try a new CPU, just in case.. But what if it's the Memory? and what if it's the motherboard? If i got bad lucky, i'll find myself currently buying a whole new computer just to find out what is the problem...

So, there must be something to do.. Some more specialized benchmark that i did'nt know off, or something...

Thanks for any help, it is much appreciated. And sorry for my English.
