every character now has unsummon skill just like they all have a normal
attack skill. as Jaffe pointed out it work nive with his necro but in
theory any character can have a summoned creature though items like stone
armour (clay golem) and so on. So if you get stuck with a creature the game
just gives you a way to get rid of them

It is used to unsummon your summoned. Like you shadow warrior or shadow
master. Or like with the necromancer, to remove you
skells/mages/revives/golems. Don't really see the point why to use it with
ama or assa, but with a summon necro, some peeps just gets lagge when I
bring in my summoner like 14 skells/mages and also maxed out my revives :p

So I can unsummon some of htem if they start whining about it :) And then
they start dying in the baal runs and whining a little more :p

One unconventional use is you can use it to teleport. If you need to
teleport, you can cast a shadow where you want to go. Then, have unsummon
on one key and Dragon Flight to your shadow.

Yes, because every char can have pets, which come from skills or items
like the Stone runeword (clay golem) or Crescent Moon (spirit wolf)
and so on.

E.g. for unsummoning the Decoy, that might have been casted and after
all monsters are dead stands in the way of a char/party.

(Didn't ever use unsummoning though, because just casting it again
makes the first one disappear.)

In a parallel universe, Anti-Freemont said exactly the opposite of:

It was in 1.09. Too bad they 'fixed' (read removed) it from 1.10.

You can use it to unsummon your shadow master. This way you can make sure
that your merc kills the boss and the overall mf is higher ( yours + merc's
mf).
Simply select it and use it on your summoned friend.

Also seems to trigger 'on death' effects, which my shadowmaster
sometimes has.
