How big of a difference is there between nVidia's Ti 4200, 4400, and 4600? Assuming that each of the cards I'm considering is 128 megs, is it worth the significant price jumps to go for the better card? What can I expect?

Thanks in advance for helping out this hardware "newbie." :)

Well, there's probably a 10% difference in performance between each level up. Is that worth the extra $75-100 more, I don't think so. I'd get a Ti4200, at max a Ti4400, but if you have loads of money get the Ti4600. But at least wait til R9700 is out. It seems to shine. Also, if you can wait, R9500 will be out in Q4 and it's supposed to be priced between $200 and $300.

that true, it's definitely not worth the extra dough...like its been repeated many times before, don't wait simply for something better, wait because when that something better comes around the thing you want will be much cheaper.

also wait a month or so till the R9000 and 9700 arrive on the market. the competition of the new ati cards should force down the price of the geforce 4's nicely
