damn yo this stupid gf2 mx400.

My fps in AA barely went up at all, i still have to play in gay 800x600. And i even went from 256pc100 ram in the tbird to 512 crucial pc2100 in my new one!!

Gee willikers mr. wilson looks like im gunna have to buy a new video card sooner then i thought.

I thought for SURE i would get like at least 25-30 steday fps in 1024x res in AA going from 900mhz 256 to 2.26 512 pc2100.

Yeah, that GF2 MX400 was probably bottlenecked at the t-bird 900MHz anyways  . Oh well, it's time you did an upgrade anyways!!

You might actually get better performance on that video card/CPU combination using SOFTWARE texture & lighting.

The Thunderbird nor the Pentium4 weren't holding you back, it's the Geforce2 Mx. To get reasonable AA, you're going to have to consider a Geforce3/4, or a Radeon8500/9000.

Yo! Is that a typo? A Radeon 8500 with 3.3ns RAM for only $65.25? That's absolutely unspeakably cheap for a card like that.

$66.25? I see $87 (free shipping) but that's not a typo. Definitely the best value for the money for the budget gamer (includes S-Video Out w/ cable). Bought this very same card 3 months ago for $99 + shipping (see my review at that link). It turned out to be an 8500OEM BBA and it overclocks to 300/325 (650 DDR) stable.

At these prices I might buy another one (but I think I will wait to see what's available at the end of the year).

Yeah he's right, but just to let you know for price vs. performance intel stinks. I wish people would learn that. Might wanna return the damn thing and get an XP 2200+ :)
