It's the MX-400 with SDR SDRAM. Replace it and your problems will be fixed.

A Radeon 8500 or 8500LE (don't get one with slow memory) or a Geforce4 Ti4200 would work well for you. If you are on a tight budget just about any card with 128-bit DDR memory would be a big improvement. Geforce2 Ti's and Radeon 7500s are about $60 USD (mail order pricing). The other cards above range from $90-$160 (mail order).

My 3DMark score - 8297 (Tbird 150*10, 8KTA3PRO SDRAM, Radeon 8500 @300/650)

~4200 with a Geforce2 GTS-V (205/340)
~2800 with a Geforce256 SDRAM (175/210) with Duron 1007mhz, KT7 mobo

4130 on my ancient 1.2GHz T-bird, AMD761 chipset, and a Radeon 64MB DDR VIVO. It isn't bad for a system that's older than dirt.

You're doing great! I don't think I ever passed 2400 marks with the same card and a PIII 933. You're limited by your card!

By now you're probably wishing you had ask more questions first!

Asus P4S533
Corsair XMS PC3200 DDR (512MB)

I built my computer last november with the best componets at the time. i currently have a Athlon1800Xp / WindowsXp / Asus G-Force 3 along with a Asus A7v266 Mombo / 786Mb of DDR2100 Crucial Tech Ram. When i do that 3DMark test i get a score of 7975.
I hope when i get my new ATIRadeon9700 that i am in the 10000 , time will tell.

i'm sure you will, according to THG, the 9700 was hitting 10,000 with AA on 4x, so we'll see ;)

"What kind of idiot are you?"
"I don't know, what kinds are there?"

I get around 1800, give or take a few points.

I know this score is considered to be top notch *wink, wink* but I think I will buy a Geforce2Ti4200 with 3.3ns memory anyway.

Specs:
XP1600
512Mb PC2100
IBM GXP60 - 40gb
Geforce2Mx200, 32mb

etc...
