Hello group,

I installed Deamon Tools, and got a virtual drive.
I made a image of the Diablo CD but the game is still searching for the CD
in drive D.

I renamed the virtual drive from H to D and the origional CD drive is
renamed from D to H

But still it isnt working??? What am I doing wrong here?
I got the system restarted....

Did you activate the various safety features in Daemon Tools, in
"Emulation"? I think it is a securom issue.

Ah, Information. A property, too valuable these days, to give it away,
just so, at no cost.

I had a similar problem both with and without DaemonTools. It appears to
be the copy protection that comes with patch 1.10, and it went wrong
even on my real DVD drive. I suspect it's a timing thing.

Try repeatedly clicking on "cancel" until the program gives up. That
worked for me, and in subsequent restarts there's no problem. It did
come back a couple of times, though I can't be sure why. You shouldn't
have to rename any drives, as the software seems eventually to find the
thing wherever it is.

Oh- I don't have any of the copy protection fakeouts enabled in Daemon.

Well don't know about Deamon, but I'm using Alcohol 120% and it's working
fine. No extra tuning needed what so ever.
Just define a virtual drive, creat an image of the LOD CD and link it to the
virtual drive. That's it. No sweat.
