I am having problems with my video card Asus V7700 32MB(GeForce 2 GTS). When I turn on the computer I hear one long beep folowed by 3 short beeps (I read in my Asus p3v4x mobo manual this sonds is: "VGA memory bad") than I press reset button and my computer works normal again. What is happening?
-One day when I turned my computer on and it worked but the first thing I saw was ASUS AGP-V7700 ***16MB*** insted of 32MB!!! Than Windows asked for the drivers for this "new" card... ...one more time I pushed reset button and it worked normaly.

Probably the voltage to the card is a little low. Then again it could be just another VIA problem.

I thought there were issues with Asus Geforce2 cards so I went to a resource called GeforceFAQ. I didn't find what I was looking for but, surprise, there are issues with the P3V4X.

from GeforceFAQ...

Q. I have an ASUS P3V4X motherboard and I have instability problems with the GeForce. How can I fix it?
Try using the 1003 BIOS instead of any later versions.

Make sure you read the 'I have a VIA chipset based motherboard and I can't get AGP4X to work without causing instability. How can I fix it?' question.

There is also a modification that you can make to your board to fix the problem. See the following website for more details:
http://web.archive.org/web/20010127183700/http://www.btinternet.com/~p3v4x/vr_mod.htm

If you click on the link you'll see an exact description of your problem and a hardware mod to fix it.
