I stopped playing a couple of weeks before the 1.10 patch came. I just
checked out the patch, played and concluded that I've played enough.

Well, now I have a shining new broadband flatrate, and I was thinking of
playing a bit again, nothing heavy duty, just to see how are things now.

Since I almost all of the characters on useast, I was thinking of
playing on Europe, where the ping is a lot better, and I have some
people from my country playing there.

So, here come the questions:

The game is a lot different now, I read the changelog in detail. What
are the things I should look out for? I see that the cow runs are no
longer in play. Where are the popular mf runs taking place these days,
how about leveling up?

What about currency? SoJ is no longer in trade, I would imagine. Can I
get some info please? I played D2 from patch 1.05 to 1.09, where I spent
most of my gaming hours in D2.

Any info is appreciated.

I think it was Vladimir Niksic <vniksic@inet.hr> that wrote something
like...

mf runs are often in the pit in hell difficulty. (the cave in the
tomoe highlands). Meph is still good for mf running, as is I believe
pindleskin and Elderitch. I think I heard somewhere that Shenks drops
got somewhat nerfed, but I wouldn't take my word for it.

Power leveling tends to be done in Baal runs, though for sub 25
characters, there'll be tristram runs and then tomb runs.

I'd say runes are the main currency these days. Um's and Ists are
common enough to be referred to fairly often as pricing indicators,
but rare and useful enough to be worth a decent amount. Lower runes
like Ko and Lem and there abouts would be for the more common but
useful items. I don't really trade, so don't have that good an idea.
Socketed elite items can be worth a lot too. 3 socket archon plates,
especially ones near 500def can go for a pretty penny.

Try the chaos empire mod. It makes the game MUCH more interesting.
