Hi,
I finally got tired of teh low polygon models in CS, so I'm gonna make a few that are really high polygon. Problem is, I have 3D S Max R4, and teh special model export thing in the Half Life SDK is for up to 3D S Max 3.1. Luckily, it's open source, so what do I need to change?
Well, I was planning on sleeping till 1, but my baby bro woke me up at 8. Pisses me off, but ah well- seeing as how I'm a student, I have over a week o vacation left . So for the export thing, are you saying all I need to do is change something in the code to say R4?
Ignore that advice I was messing around - you said you had an R4 and you were trying to convert to 3.1 I just said get a 3.1 in stead of your R4. I've never played h/l or cs so I don't have a clue what your on about - What exactly are you trying to do cos I can find out from someone down here. (at work at mo - sucks ass)

If it ain't broke, Don't fix it.
If you can find out, I would really appreciate. Basically what I'm trying to do is create a few player models for counter strike that are really high polygon, and that look very nice. However, as it happens, in order to create an MDL file (a model file that halflife/counter strike use), I need to export to a certain format using 3D Studio max R4. In order to be able to export, Valve software provided a plugin and its open course code for Max. It only works up till 3.1 though, and I was wondering what tweaks I need to make to the source code of teh plugin so that it'll work under max R4. Thanks
He's gone till Monday.
Strange my 8 year old called me this morning around 8:30 asking how she and her older sis could reinstall HL. I had uninstalled it. Just coincidense or something. hi hi
