damage to mana (nightsmoke etc)

Did i miss something? damage to mana is supossed to move damage to
mana, but when i use nightsmoke or other damage to mana equipement it
doesn't seem to work... Any advise?

Your current mana increases based on the damage you take/recieve. It
does NOT CONVERT damage into mana.
