Odd bug...

So my nec is in Hell, in the canyon of the magi. I've got 9 revives in
add'n to all my skellies and mages, so I can afford not to be too selective
in what I revive- in this area I try to get crushers, but I'll take a scarab
if there's nothing else. So along comes a scarab which is under the
influence of a might aura. "Aha", I think, "obviously a minion of an
aura-enchanted boss!" But I put my cursor over it, and it's an ordinary
scarab, with full hit points. So I curse it- nothing happens. It wanders
over to a skeleton, makes threatening gestures, but does nothing- my skellie
ignores it.

So basically, my computer couldn't decide if this bug was a revived one or a
normal one. It was blue, and tried to attack me, but it had my merc's aura
and couldn't hurt me (and vice versa). Odd.

In the same game, I was slain several times by a fire- or cold-enchanted
boss, despite being more than half a screen away or in another room when the
boss bit it. Is this normal in hell?

Cheers,

The might aura may have come from another bosspack nearby.

Yes, very odd. Maybe you had major lag? That seems to do odd things to this
game :)

AFAIK it's pretty normal that you can get killed by a dying FE/CE boss half
a screen away if you're unlucky or just have low health. I'm not sure if
you're in another room. You'd think they'd thought of that, but hey, it's
Blizzard :)

On SP? I know I need a new computer, but that's just silly!

I don't have the thousands of health that a barb would have, but I thought
it was only in NM that FE/CE was ridiculous. This hadn't happened to this
character in any of his other Hell sessions.

LOL, right. I didn't think about that. Don't know what it might have been
then.
