GF3 Lifespan

I have just purchased a Creative GF3 Ti200. How long before this card starts struggling with future games. (I have athlon 700 at mo but will upgrade to xp2000).

You're good for several months. It depends on the games you're playing and the settings you're using.

Ideally all the latest FPS's on the highest settings. JKII, MOHAA, BF1942, IGI2, UT2003 etc etc.

You should have gone Ti4600!
You may do fine though, but lagging may be part of your life at higher resolutions.
Prepare for a change around Christmas or early next year.

You are already in trouble with JKII and parts of MOHAA (well just the Omaha Beach scene). As for UT2003 check some of the video card reviews at <A HREF="http://www.anandtech.com" target="_new">www.anandtech.com</A>. Don't know about the other games.

I personally don't notice using reduced features in FPS's. The action is too fast to see anything, anyway. I have a Radeon 8500.

If u're worried, oc it to GF3 standard+ speeds.
