I'm wondering what everyone's thoughts are on whether the 8500's price will drop now that there is a new high performance card from ATI to replace it?

Some cards have already dropped by almost 50%, like the 8500DV and AIW 8500 128MB.

But the R8500/Le haven't dropped at all, at least in my area.

Also, do you think the Ti4200/4400 prices will drop? BTW, I heard nVidia was phasing out the Ti4400? Anyone got any info? And have they already stopped binning new cores as Ti4400? If I get one, I'd kinda prefer a A3 (or newest) core stepping.

You guys need a canadian newegg, like canada egg or something. What's the most reliable retailer in Canada, or do you usually buy stuff from the US sites and have it shipped from there?

I dunno about the most reliable, but I hear CanadaComputers, ShopRBC, and NCIX are good. Getting stuff shipped in from the US costs too much, even with "free-trade",

I think the 8500DV is bargain. The AIW 128MB is still expensive. What does it have to offer, for about $80-$90 more, over the 8500DV other than another 64MB of memory?

Thanks for the input. I am hoping for the radeon 8500 LE to drop in price. To Chuck232, I've heard that geforce 4 wills drop alot as well. (I think Tom said they would in the radeon9700 review) and I've never heard about a phase out of the g4 ti4400.
