I recently bought a TI200 for 125 dollars. More detailed specs are here, http://www.gameve.com/store/gameve_viewitem.asp?idproduct=460

I am starting to have second thoughts and it hasnt even arrived here yet. Was this or a good buy, or is the price going to be dropped dramitacilly on GeForce4s because 5s are coming out soon? Another thing that concerns me is that it is not name brand. I have never heard of eVGA. Just looking for a little reasurrance...

Sorry to spoil your fun, but you could have gotten the Geforce4 ti4200 for about $10 more or gotten the Radeon 8500 for about $30 less and they both perform better than the ti200.

MSI GeForce4 Ti4200 64 MB is better than your eVGA card. It has faster memory compared to your eVGA card (3.6 nanosecond vs. 4.0 nanosecond). So it should be better performer. And MSI is lot more reliable than eVGA.

In your original post it stated "I recently bought a TI200 for 125 dollars...". When you said TI200 I assumed you meant geforce3 ti 200, because there isn't a g4 ti200. Anyways its a good buy.

The MSI card was not retail...if that matters...i certainly preffered to get it in a box with instructions and drivers and stuff, other than just the card in some clear bag...

I'm not a pc expert, so the retail thing made it ALOT easier for me...

Interesting vendor. They have what I consider a below average rating at www.resellerratings.com yet the vendor provides a link right to the rating (click on "how's are service?" at the site). Makes you think they are at least making an effort at improved service. The customer comments at Resellerrating.com don't show it yet, though.

I think it's a very good price.
