nVidia claims up to 25% boost in performance. Comments and personal experience with these new drivers are welcome.

Welcome to the realm of PR. They did it with the 8500, and they're doing it again. This time though, the new drivers aren't going to let them keep up with the 9700 Pro.

If ignorance is bliss, then why is everyone so miserable?

The guys over at the <A HREF="http://www.msi.com.tw/program/e_service/forum/viewthread.php?threadid=3069&boardid=14&styleid=1" target="_new">MSI Forum</A> are listing a significant increase - between 300 - 600 marks increase for the madonion benchmark

Get the 40.41 drivers <A HREF="http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?IO=winxp-2k_40.41" target="_new">here</A> - only for Win2000 & XP though.

It isn't stealing any glory though, come on be serious. Though this awful fast new driver set, from 30.xx to 40.xx in less than a month makes me feel like a new chip is coming rather soon )

BTW for nvidia card users; the new drivers are very nice. Worth the upgrade. They are exactly what I thought the 30.xx's should have been - new features, more options and even more tweaks for DirectX and OpenGL. Also, a very nice remake of menus make it "tidier" and the toolbar transparency is nifty. I don't know about performance yet, haven't loaded up GTA3 or anything. I can't wait to see these tweaked features with a better chipset!! "invisions the joy of my new card come around christmas with my friends best buy discount, which is now 5% over what best buy got it for" YAY!! lol.

I'm not anti-ATI... i want the 9700PRO badly, but I just started (and paid for) another semester in college so that isn't happening right yet. I would love a card with enough juice to be totally tweaked with max anitrospic filtering and AA w/o losing much performance, something my G4 TI cannot do. Only minimal settings 4/2 MAX :(

I never said they <b><i>did</b></i> steal any glory. No driver can ever make the Ti4600 approach R9700 performance.
