Multiple Display Question

so this may sound like a stupid question or problem i have. i have 2 monitors left one max rez is 1280x1024 and the left one is
1680x1050. it seems as if my right monitor has maybe 1/4 inch past the edge of the screen as desktop space. maximizing my window makes the close button just slightly off screen. is there a way to get rid of this "extra space" so my mouse doesnt "hide" when put all the way to the right and so that my windows when maxed on the right screen displays the red X to close. this may seem like a little stupid to care about but im just curious.

if its a crt monitor, you can use controls on the front of it where u can use horizontal adjust. or can try in your nvidia,or ati control program.
