Hey All,
Just to let people know how good new nVidia drivers v 40.41 (BETA) are. I managed ab 18.4% increase in frame rate in DS Benchmark in my GeForce2 Ti just from upgrading from 29.42 to 40.41!

According to many, the new drivers seem good. But they didn't do any good for me. My PC still hangs after 30 minutes of playing B&W with a gf2mx, with nothing to do but reboot when it happens. Anyone has any idea why? GPU overheating? It's cooled by a Thermaltake Blue Orb. Should I replace that S. of a B. (the Blue Orb, I mean)?

I've also got a GeForce 2 MX (400) and after test 15 of 3dMark2001SE, with the new Det 40 drivers, it just quits. I don't get it. I wonder if it's the same with all GF2 MX cards.

No. I ran 3DMark 2001SE without any trouble with my GF2MX with Det40 (scored 1935). It just skipped the Nature, Environment Bump Mapping and Pixel Shader tests since the GF2MX doesn't support those. Do you have build 330 of 3DMark?

I have the same problem about GF2MX400 test with 3dmark2001se.It'll be quit.

No I didn't upgrade to build 330. Should I? Is it the same tests etc.? Will it fix my Det. 40 problem?

Well, the driver's are still BETA. Maybe the bugs will be ironed out when they're released properly.

Well, i've read that this drivers are released to improve the Geforce 3 and 4 working, so if you have a VGA less than that you may experience problems and not an important increase is benchmarks. the thing is that the manage better the anti-aliasing and T&L (I believe..)
