Hi...
Im half asleep as I didnt sleep last night and just wondering what you lot
think is the most useless skill in Diablo2.
I want to make a new character and am thinking as a challenge to base it
around one of the most useless skills a character can have... now I open the
floor to discuss what you lot view as the most useless skills

That's easy - telekinesis.
But how would you build a character around it is beyond me...

I see this question as: What skill do you never put a point in, unless
it's a pre-req to something you DO want.
Necro: Teeth
Zon: Immolation Arrow
Barb: Spear Mastery
Sorc: Chilling Armor
Druid: Solar Creeper, Spirit of Barbs.
Pal: Vigor (wouldn't mind it at all as an aura from a
rune-word or unique item, but I never have it
on as a selected aura).
Sin: I don't have enough experience with the class.

I use TK all the time for opening chests, stash, picking up items, getting
to wp quicker on mf runs, stunning immune enemies against a wall so merc
wont get hurt by them... and probably for more things. Id say its one of the
must haves for any sorc (other than just hte fact that its a prereq for
teleport)

At times, when a field is cleared from monsters, and you want to go
home other than by portal, vigor is quite useful. And it is a synergy
to Blessed Hammer.

Psychic hammer is quite fun both Pvm and PvP if you totally
twink it .I think it stops being of any use once you get to the
last few of Baals minions on normal(heal faster than you can
damage).Basically you need lots of mana,+skill and cast rate
which arent to hard to get if your on ladder.

I second that. I tried to maka a teeth necro once and it was a total
failure. It was too mana intensive at low enough level were it could kill
and too weak by the time you have a decent mana supply.

Tried that one also. I decided it was futile at level 50 or so.

Finally someone else mentioned it. I was going to put it in as well, no
damage, and not near enough subtraction to make it worthwhile to use. I
never put more than one point in it and never use it at all. If you have a
rogue merc, it gets cast more than you need that way.

Although I have used Teeth to thin out a crowd before running in with a
bone necro I'd never put more than one point in it.

Sad but true.

I thought it was Polearm Mastery that the Barbarian's worst mastery...
> Sorc: Chilling Armor
I'd always put one point in it, if only for the extra light.

Solar Creeper can be useful if you're a Werewolf/Werebear with good life
regen or leech.

Probably better in SC for corpse recovery.
> Sin: I don't have enough experience with the class.
Probably Psychic Hammer, though it sometimes can be handy in a crowd.

Doesn't it let you see monsters behind walls? (Or am I confusing it with the
D1 skill?)

I think that was Infravision from D1. It made them glow red.
Archived from groups: alt.games.diablo2 (More info?)
You are correct. If you use Inner Sight it does light up those monsters that
can't be seen. You can't see them like you did with Infravision in D1 but
you if there is monsters you can here and they are behind a wall/door you
can use it to light up their locations so you know where they are located.

Really? I used a guided/freezing/imolation bowazon for ages. I'd also have
a points in piercing, so I could freeze a group, fire the imolation arrow,
and
go back to the guided arrows.
How does the damage with imolation compare with exploding arrows?
Does imolation give the same exploding effect? (I assumed it does).
This is based on 1.09 btw, only just started playing with 1.10.
