I want a graphics card, with a REALLY good hardware DVD Decoder. It has to be PCI. The machine is a Athlon 500 with 128MB Ram. Any suggestions???

With 500mhz, I would recommend using a separate h/w decoder. I'm using a Creative Labs DXr3 on a PC with a K6-2 @ 500mhz and the video is smooth and the dolby sounds great. The video card is some old 16mb beater...An STB velocity 4400.

You can find DXr3 and the older (if you are running Win98) DXr2 on pricewatch.com.

The fact that no one understands you doesn't mean you're an artist.

The last guy has a point. I have a DXR2 card, and it has higher quality DVD output than any video card, along with better adjustability and more features (such as changing the aspect ratio, better resizing options, etc.).
