Hone Sundan

I've seen this listed before in equipment lists. What would it be worth on
US East Ladder? I'd like to trade off for higher runes, if possible.

On a side note, I just found my first Duriel's Shell. That and a Goldwrap
dropped at the same time on a NM Meph run. Since I had neither, it was a
jackpot. I upgraded the Goldwrap and replaced my upgraded Lenymo. now, my
sorc's resistances are much closer to max, which was desperately needed
nearing the end of Act II Hell.

I dont think Hone Sundan would be worth much because of the eth
bug when upgraded(it doesnt recieve the Ethereal bonus) and also
because of the new runewords.Even without those factors you would
still need to have a high ED one as people are getting fussier as more
people already own most items.

Ok... thanks for the information. I'll just keep it in my collections.
Maybe a future mid-level merc tool after I find some good stuff to socket it
with.

Huh? There is no ethereal bug for weapons. The ethereal + upgrade bug is
only there for armours. So don't upgrade those ethereal Duriel Shells', or
Shaftstops.

But an upgraded ethereal Hone Sundan is one of the nicer merc weapons, if
it's raw damage you'e after. And that still leaves 3 sockets open for, for
instance, an Amn and two Shaels for that extra breakpoint. Or if you're
really rich, some Ohms/Bers. ;)

Anyway, regarding price: a plain Hone Sundan is worth a few pgems at most.
An ethereal one with high ED is a bit more tricky; it's become a lot less
popular with the advance of runewords like Obedience. I got a 199%
ethereal upgraded one for free when I was trying to acquire one, but other
people actually wanted an Ist or more for one.

Regards,

Patrick.

Heh, well mine's not even ethereal, so it's academic. I do appreciate the
information, however. :)

I apologise for misinforming but I did not know it was specific
to armors anyway its good to know I dont have to worry about upping
eth weapons now.

No problem at all. Keep in mind with 'armors' I also mean shields, belts,
helmets, etc.

Patrick.

That's what I understood. For armors, the item keep the ethereal look (and
disadvantages, as no repair), but the 50% defence bonus is 'lost'. Weapons
retain the 50% added damage.

Patrick.
