Need help. Have a Soyo P45S Dragon Ultra mainboard with the SiS chipset. P41.8 running XP Pro. Have been through two video boards same problem. After I load high res video driver and machine re-boots, computer will lock up after about 3-5 minutes. When I unload and run in standard windows VGA mode, it's fine. The first video card was MSI N-Videa G-Force 64MB DDR, second (current) is ABIT Siluro 64 MB DDR N-Videa G- force. I have updated BIOS, motherboard drivers, video card drivers, nothing has worked. The BIOS setup is in optimized mode, i.e. I have not tweaked it. The company I bought the components from want me to ship it back for testing. Does anyone know of incompatiblity issues between SiS and N-Videa? Have I missed anything? Could AGP circuit be bad? I can't believe that with brand new components, I'd have this problem. System is 3 months old. Any help appreciated.
