Problems loading 64 bit windows

Hello,
i am using win 7 32 bit on a toshiba satellite computer but tried to upgrade to win 64 bit but during installation it begins to ask for a device driver for cd/dvd rom to enable it to run win 7 64 bit

You can not upgrade from a 32 bit OS to a 64 bit os. You need to do a clean install of the 64 bit os.

my bad - win 7 64 bit starts from a clean install goes through the interactive windows then it goes to a window that shows the partions then it ask for drivers for device but this did not happen with win 7 32 bit and said drivers are seemingly not on the 64 bit dvd disk. so it wont load from here and i have to exit the installation.
