I'm looking at getting the ASUS P4B533 mobo. The model P4B533-E has 2 X 1394 ports as an option. I'm looking at adding the ATI All In Wonder Radeon 8500DV card, which too has 2 X 1394 ports. I don't plan on needing more than 2 such ports. Therfore my question is, "Is it better to go with the P4B533 option board and use the 1394 ports on the 8500DV card? or get the "E" mobo model and have 4 X 1394 ports? - Is there any conflict issues I should be aware of? The board has a 4X AGP Pro slot.

I want to do some video editing and am looking at this card vs. the All In Wonder 8500 card.

Thanks for your comments.

They're both going to accomplish the same thing. The advantage of the 8500DV card is that it comes with a nice software bundle for DV editing. But, they're pretty basic. So if your planning on getting your own software package (my recommendation), and DV editing is the only feature of the card you plan to use, then I would opt for a more powerful 3D card, Radeon 8500 (non-AIW). For DV editing, all you need is one ieee port, and the rest of the AIW's feture don't pertain to this application.
