Are most wireless cards compatiable with other brands of routers/modems?

I have a Qwest Actiontec modem and was wondering if I could use any brand
wireless card or if I have to use the Actiontec card?

TIA

Yes - if you're using 802.11a/b/g equipment - any brand is compatible.

Can't speak to those to manuf., but a Netgear 'b' PC Card adapter I got for
my daughter's laptop found my Linksys 'g' router right off and worked
perfectly.
