You will be fine with that card. By MSIO do you mean MSI?

If you felt like spending more money, your Athlon would enable you to benefit from a better graphics card if you wanted, such as a GeForce 4 Ti series (4200, 4400 or 4600). It really depends on how much you like playing games, as for everything else the MX 440 is already more than sufficient.

If you're planning to use your PC as a game machine I'd advise you to buy the 4200 model and why not the 4400, if you've got the extra 70 euros that is.But i believe that a 4200 would be more than enough judging by your machine.^_^

I just got one for my new system and it is working well (P4 2.4GHz/533MHz FSB, ASUSP4S8X mobo, 256MB DDR333...). The only problem that I have is that the tabs for "MSI timing" etc... under XP "control panels" do not work. Unfortunately this seems to be an ongoing problem. I'm not a "big" game player too and I find the games that came bundled with the card run fine enough for me.

There are too many global idiots in the global village!

I run a Asus GF4 TI4200 128Mb and I think it's definetly worth the extra money. I have run a GF2 TI in the past which is roughly the equivalent of a GF4 MX (features and performance) and it just wasn't enough. You could get a GF3 TI 200 which is the card I just replaced. It will outperform your GF4 and has more features.

Always listen to experts. They'll tell you what can't be done, and why. Then do it. MY RIG: http://www.btvillarin.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=327
