Radeon 8500 problems?

Hello,
I tried searching the forums to solve my problem but I didnt have any luck finding the answer.

Last week I got me Radeon 8500 power by ATI (not sure whats company) card with 64 mb and huge copper fan and 2 heat sinks on card. Card performs great and it was really good deal for $75. But since I installed the 8500 monster my videos and movies are not showing up, by my videos i mean like the divx movies, video streams, and stuff like that. There is sound but no picture. I thought it might be problem with video codecs and drivers i tried updating that but still same thing.

Could somebody please give me some insight to solve this cause I really wanna see that new Lord of The Rings trailer its supose to be the bomb.

My money would go with driver conflicts, and i'd imagine that a) you didnt have an ATI card in there before and b) you didnt 100% uninstall all previous drivers before upgrading.

I'd systematically go through your system and uninstall all video - related drivers, then re-install everything. Include also programs such as Real player, WMP, any DVD playing stuff etc.
In fact, it may be quicker to re-install Windows from scratch but that's up to you.
