Honor or Obedience ?

I wonder what to put in my (lvl80) merc weapon (5 sockets tresher).
Obedience is nice for 40% crushing blow and enchant, but Honor have
that nice 7% life leach. My merc is lacking that life leach.
It is really hard choice.
And runes for Obedience are higher too.
Any suggestions are welcome.

Hi,
Well my Level 91 Sorc Merc has been using Obedience. I was going a while
where he had no life leech and he did go a while with constant dying. I then
done as advised and bought myself an Andariels Visage. I think it cost me a
Pul. Easy enough to get. Andariels Visage provides him with the Life Leech
he needed and with Obedience and Duress Armor he's a nasty piece of work.

My personal recommedation would be to go for Obedience. I have 2, 1 in a low
level item and the other in a Ethereal Cryptic Axe.

Obedience all the way. You can get the enchant for AR on your char first
and then give it back to your merc - pricelss.

There are several life leech options for a merc - Tal Rashas helmet has 10%
LL and Crown of Thieves too. Skin of the Flayed One armor adds another 7% -
but defense is a little low.

Socket one of them with a 15%IAS jewel and merc has a nice 3.5 attacks per
second.

I think I will go for Obedience.
But I wonder whether Duress is better than upgraded Rattlecage (25 %
crushing blow). Still to compare mods. Better flying (not far for cold
merc) and slaughtered by crushing blow than bleeding (but FHR and
added cold damage is nice in Duress).
Still I have to find Tal Rasha mask or anything else to get that life
leach.

Good choice, nice runeword.

Comparing Rattlecage and Duress is silly; Duress is so much better. You
don't really want Monster flee on an Act 2 merc, you want the monsters to
stay put so the merc can beat 'em to pulp.

So get rid of that Rattlecage, and get yourself Duress. Also don't forget
the variable added damage Duress adds. Small, but every bit helps. And the
res-all.

Tal's Mask is very common. Drops all the time, or can be traded for a few
pgems at the most. (Of course, one never drops when you really, really
need/want one..

I'll swap you a Tal Mask for that Azurewrath.

Instead of a Pally, you could always try a Kicker with that Azurewrath.
I have heard that an Azurewrath Kicker is something to be reckoned
with.

Sounds like you should build the Assassin of Life Everlasting. It's a
DR/MDR Kicker Build that is pretty tough to kill. Perfect for that
invincible gear thing.

It can depend on your other equip. Does the merc have either crushing blow
or leech from his armor or hat?
