Ok, installed the 9700 ok, thanks for everyone's help. Seems to run games without crashing etc...but I feel like I am getting poor performance out of it. On medieval total war, I get choppyness when scrolling around in the battlefield. I downloaded the 3d benchmark program, I scored an 11,300 on a P4 2.018 ghz, 512K megs of ram, and the new drivers from ati.com. I notice that Tom's Hardware got something like a 14,000, and on madonion.com, people with 64MB video cards get lower benchmark scores but still crush me on FPS in tests like the lobby, the car, etc... Is something wrong with my card?

Hi, I am using a ASUS motherboard, model P4S266VX, that came with a SIS integrated graphics chip (SIS650) that I hope is disabled! It still shows up in device manager, and if I disable it, it actually disables the ATI. I am using 4.0, my motherboard doesnt have 8.0. Do you neeed even greater specifications?

The reason the THG team (and just about every other tech-site) score that high is because they use a faster processor, hell, the 9700Pro can go over 20000 3D Marks with heavily overclocked CPU.

I think the SIS chipset or the Asus board you mentioned has some issues with the 9700Pro, read the other threads in the forum.

Thanks! Do you know how I can adjust the AGP aperture size? I see in 3DMark that it is set at 64MB, someone recommended using 128mb but there doesnt appear to be an such option for changing AGP aperture in my BIOS.
