Separate Gfx & Video Capture Card

current video capture card is ATI Rage 128 Pro AGP 4X TMDS. Would like to upgrade my video memory but it gets expensive upgrading the video capture combo card each time.

Do you recommend keeping the video capture/gfx card combo or will separate components work as well?
would greatly appreciate any recommendations on cards [Either way] Thanks!

It depends on how much you want to spend. A great buy now is the R8500DV, which is $199CDN.
