Where's the best place to find +skill grand charms? I find myself
needing these in great abundance lately.

AFAICR Act 3 Nightmare, Flayer Jungle onwards until Kurast. They are
the lowest ilvl (or whatever terminology) GC's that can spawn +skills.

And then just grab a whole bunch of pgems.

Thanks. I'll try farming there. BTW, if I find a GC and roll it with 3
pgems, will the ilvl stay the same? I thought it dropped with each
roll. If that's the case, where can I farm to get good one-roll GCs?

The 3 pgem recipe maintains the ilvl of the item. ilvl = ilvl. So, yes,
it stays the same.

Checked and ilvl for Skillers is 50. So, Great Marsh onwards. Farm
there, and above.

Will do! Now I need to go and fill my inventory with five or six +1
barb combat and/or masteries skillers. WooHoo!

+1 skill is a lvl 50 affix. Chaliban is correct in pointing out that
Nightmare Great Marsh and Flayer Jungle are great place to find such
charms. It must be noted that Lower Kurast onward has higher than area
lvl 50, therefore the charms you find there will have ilvl greater than
50 as well. Such charms with higher than ilvl 50 have more affixes
available, thus the likelihood of cubing a skiller charm is smaller.
However, if you do obtain a skiller charm from cubing these high ilvl
charm, there is a possibility it comes with a useful suffix.

In summary, if you are looking for plain +1 skill charm, your best bet
is find and cube ilvl 50 Grand Charms (complete list of lvl 50 areas
includes Great Marsh, Flayer Jungle, Arachnid Lair, Spider Lair, all in
Nightmare difficulty). The downside is, ilvl 50 Grand Charms can't
spawn a useful suffix along with the +1 skill prefix, perhaps can't
spawn a suffix at all.

Try nightmare cows.
They can drop there and can spawn with life aswell.

Ah, now that might be a problem. I'd really like to get a suffix too. I
guess I'll just have to content myself with plain skillers at first,
and slowly replace them with upgrades as I can.

Since I've been playing barbs for so very long, I've noticed that I
routinely use 16 active skills during play, 14 of which are hot keyed.
My playstyle tends to encourage the jack-of-all-trades-master-of-none
type build. I reeeeaaaaaaaallllly need +skills items to make up for my
native skill levels. *sigh*

Thanks for the input!

This is where I get my +1 Skillers since I avg. 1-2 GC per NM cow
level (with another party member in the area).

NM Great Marsh onward will work though (some people farm Travincal for
the gold, gems, and charms (Travincal has useful SCs for re-rolling).

anyhow, ilvl 50+ only adds very few affixes. I looked it up some time ago,
so I don't remember the details, but ilvl 70 only added 2-3 affixes. To
about 30-40 already available. And you get the chance to roll skillers with
+life..

Regards,

Oliver
