I just got a Dimension 9100 and wiped it and re-installed XP Pro on it.
I installed everything from the included Creative CD (installing all
the software for the card, it's a Audigy 2 ZS).
When I try to install the 2 updates from Creative's website, the
installer says 'it could not detect any SB Audigy 2 in my system.'
Here are the 2 items I'm trying to install:
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy2 and Audigy2 ZS Driver Update 1.84.55
(16.34 MB) 12 May 05 Download Now Download Now
AND
EAX 4.0 ADVANCED HD Driver Update for Creative Sound Blaster Audigy
2/Audigy 2 ZS (13.57 MB) 19 Nov 03 Download Now Download Now

I don't know if it still is the case, but in the past the Dell versions of
the SB Live and Audigy cards are different enough that the Creative drivers
won't work. I believe only the Dell drivers will work.

I agree with Tweek. -And- if the dell drivers you have are working fine,
then I'd leave it as is.
