I am planning to add a computer to my home entertainement system, planned specification as follows:
1 CPU COOLER C.M HHC-L61 SOCKET A/FCPGA
1 ABIT ATX AT7MAX2-XP SOCKET A VIA KT400
1 AMD CPU ATHLON XP2400+
2 512MB PC333 DDRAM MAJOR/3RD PC2700
1 HP DVD-Writer dvd200i IDE DVD+R/RW CD-RW
1 LG CD-RW 48X12X48 IDE BULK
4 MAXTOR DIAMONDMAX PLUS9-FDB 120GB 7200RP
1 MIDITOWER ATC-210 FOG-VERDANT 300W
1 Samsung TFT 17ยจ 172T Silver MM TCO99
1 Logitech Cordless Desktop Optical Swe
1 Logitech WingMan Wireless Gamepad
1 All-in-Wonder 9700
In addition to the monitor, I also want to drive a Hitachi SVGA projector, which I already have.
Sound will be handles by a Dolby 5.1 HiFi system driven by a JVC 4012R that handles S/PDIF (optical and coax) in/out and USB sound input.
Is there any practical way of driving both screens simultaneously, at different resolutions?
A friend has a similar setup, and he has to switch between his TFT and projector to be able do drive the projector via VGA, SVGA output had terrible quality, using an older 7500-based AIW.
I would ideally like to drive the projector via VGA and the TFT-screen via DVI
Any suggestions?
Extra hardware that would enable me to do this?
