collecting set items...

How many ppl here have started a collection of set items?
I started my quest about 5 months ago, and now have 11 full sets..with the
rest just missing 1 or two items.
the only sets with nothing collected so far is Berserker's Arsenal, Cow
King's Leathers and Griswold's Legacy..
All of the items are legit finds and are only exposed to the hero editor for
saving and archiving. how are the rest of you doing, and how long have you
been at it?

Considering I gave away 60+ mules a year ago, I couldn't say.

Hi

This is just in case u didnt know. Only the Cow King can drop the
pieces to the cow king set so don 4get to do cows which could be hard
in sp cuz to get chance 4 him to drop the set u have to kill him and
when u kill him u cant go back :/.

Kaytie<--still thinks Cow King is wrong neways it should be Cow Queen
or Bull King

Back in 1.09 when Meph runs were in vogue, one time and one time only,
Meph dropped me the Cow Kings boots. I was delighted as those were/are
great boots for an amazon. It must have been a glitch but yes I did
get them from Meph. It probably got fixed in the 1.10 patch. All the
other Cow King set pieces I aquired over time were always found in the
Moomoo farm.

I've recently started collecting Sets. I've only so far collected 4 complete
sets. I have Cathans, Sigons, Immortal King, Tal Rashas.

Tal Rashas was actually given to me complete for free thanx to Samiel.

I don't play to get chars to lvl 99, or to beat hell baal. I play to collect
sets and uniques, I am trying for one of every one. It should keep me busy
for the rest of my life. I am about 85% complete, and it is mostly the
elites that I need yet. Though as an example, it took nearly a year and a
half before I found a biggins bonnet, one of the very lowest items.

I do have off ladder, one mule dedicated to each set, so 4 accts are there
just to hold set parts. I welcome a ladder reset in the coming months so
that I can move my complete aldurs over to that mule, and my second trang
set over to the correct mule.

not true, i know that at least boss and champion cows can drop cow kings
items also (not sure about normal cows)
so its save to kill alot of cows and leave king alive to get cow kings set..

i've had all sets several times (back in .09, in season 1 and again in
season 2)

I hack the hell out of the characters...holy fire pal...lvl 99...just for
finding sets..been getting alot of cathans seal rings..3-4 per game...

Get ATMA. (A Tenshi Muling Application) For SP it is the best you can get
for saving stuff. You can save all your set items in one stash file while
saving your uniques in a seperate stash file, then you can also make a
stash file for runeworded items. Or, you can save everything in one huge
file (but it can take awhile to open then). I don't have the link handy
atm, look around in this ng, it has been posted several times before.
Oh, I have been at it for over 4 years now and still have a few set items
that I have never found. Unique's also.

I collect sets, as well as uniques, rares, blues, and whites, but I only do
so in Expansion Ladder. So far, I have only three accounts full of mules.
The only completed sets I have so far acquired are: Angelic Raiment,
Cathan's Traps, Hsarus's Defense, Isenhart's Armory, Milabrega's Regalia,
Sigon's Complete Steel (which my low-level Melee Enchantress is using), and
I just recently completed Tancred's Battlegear. All completed sets are
normal (not expansion) sets, and I have found very few good set items thus
far with my 86th level character, even using 450% MF in repeated Hell Cow
runs. I'm not hopeful that in this lifetime I will ever complete the
collection without trading.

Speaking of which, on a tangential note, if Blizzard decides one day to
eliminate the realms, I do hope they will at least be courteous enough to
give us all our characters, or at least allow for the opportunity to
download them from their servers.
